For those of you that don't know, when you enter a blog giveaway, there is usually a mandatory question that you must answer. As I tried to answer for one giveaway, I really struggled. I loved the question and there was so much I could say in my response. I also enjoyed reading how others responded. Here was the question: "Please post here and tell me your favorite activity with your baby."
My condensed answer was:
I am a full-time working mama, so I cherish any time I get to spend with my son. We love playing outside and on Saturday, he helped me throw leaves in the compost pile. One way we are trying to live green. ("Live Green" must be included in the answer.)
My favorite daily activity with my 15 month old is the pre-bedtime routine, especially bath night! As a swim instructor and former competitive swim coach, I love that my son loves the water. Unfortunatly, swim lessons start when he is going to bed... so the next best thing are lessons in the tub. Then we brush teeth, lotion, cloth diaper and pjs, read and cuddle.
I left out so many other things I love to do with Tate! I love reading with him, dancing, going on walks, acting silly and talking. Sometimes I just like to watch him play. It is so much fun when he learns something new. I look forward to doing more things with him as he gets older. I can't wait until the next round of swimming lessons this summer. I know that my husband is excited to take him hunting and fishing as he gets older too.
So what is your favorite activity to do with your children?

My favorite thing to do with my baby is wear him in my Mei Tai and go for walks, but it is getting too cool for that. I guess inside my favorite thing is to give him a bath in the sink. He just laughs and splashes and we have a really fun time!
ReplyDeleteWith Lizzie my fav thing is to read her books! I could read to her for hours!
My favorite thing to do with my children is cherish every single moment.
ReplyDeleteOver the course of the last year, a very good friend of mine discovered her oldest daughter (3 1/2 at the time) was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her type was the most difficult to treat and from that point on, I've savored every moment I have with my healthy children.
Luckily, she has achieved remission after her 7 month inpatient series of treatments and is doing very well, but the people I became connected with through these friends have lost their battles at 3 and 4 years old...
So my favorite things to do with my kid ever day include: waking up, changing diapers, hugs, kisses, stepping on cars, wiping faces, brushing teeth, getting dressed, putting in time out, talking, coloring, watching cartoons, napping, cleaning up, building block towers and forts, baths, tucking them in to bed, wiping their runny noses and just being mom.
