Of course, when you need something, you can't find it. Michael and I both thought we knew where the tree stand was, but couldn't find it anywhere. After we borrowed a stand, (almost as big as the tree) from my brother, Tate decided to put the balls in there. I'm not sure if he's smelling the tree or kissing it. He likes to do both. He is also fascinated by the lights. He likes to unplug them, then plugs them back in and either claps or says "Oh WOW!"

On Wednesday, my sister-in-law, Amy, brought us some leftovers from the library. The children's department had gingerbread decorating on evening, but because the weather wasn't good they had a lot left. Tate had a great time decorating and munching! At one point he was putting some shoe-string licorice on the roof and was trying to eat it at the same time! By the way, the orange on his face is from the chili we had for dinner.

Saturday was the action-packed too with a trip to visit Santa and then to Mimi and Papa's house to decorate cookies. He is an experienced froster now! Even though he loves kissing all of my mom's Santa decorations, he wasn't too impressed with the man himself. He had much more fun riding the horse-drawn carriage and he loved the candy cane!
On Sunday, we put a tiny tree in his room and he loves it! Tate signs "please" and points at the tree when we go into his room. That translates to "Please turn the lights on!" Hopefully, everyone else is having as much fun as we are this Christmas season!
