Easter weekend

I am a true child of the 80's. Sadly, I admit to the neon colors, biker shorts, big hair, tight rolled jeans, and NKOTB. I had jellies, a Swatch, slouch socks, friendship bracelets and beaded safety pins, Cabbage Patch dolls and a Trapper Keeper. Once I even accidentally stonewashed an entire load of clothes- including my dad's work jeans- without even trying!
The 80's movie, Breakin' was also pretty popular in my hometown because the lead actress, Lucinda Dickey, was a local girl. I never learned to break dance and I'm sure if I saw the movie today I would wonder why in the world it was such a big deal. I guess breakin' is making a come back in 2010. Over the weekend, my nephew, Jace showed Tate his breakdancing skills and I got a few seconds on video before I ran out of memory.

I was so excited for the Easter Bunny to come. Since Tate has to sit still for 2 breathing treatments for 30 minutes at a time, he has become obsessed with Toy Story 1 and 2. My mom has spoiled him too. Now, when we pull up to a store and he starts saying "Woo-DEE" over and over like a broken record. Most of the toys are for, "Ages 3 and up, it's on my box!" (says Mr. PotatoHead in Toy Story). So, I found a plush Buzz and Woody on Disney.com and knew that's what the Easter Bunny would be bringing!

Saturday, Grandma showered the grandsons with their usual presents. Most of them were of the Toy Story theme. We now have a Toy Story lawn chair, ball, a new t-shirt and pjs, a snack holder, plastic baggies, a notebook and sleeping bag. I don't know if he was overwhelmed by all the Buzz and Woody paraphernaila or what, but he did not get as excited as I hoped he would. I thought he would scream, "Woo-DEE" like he usually does any time he sees something from Toy Story. He didn't even seem very excited. After I stopped the video, I had to walk him back to the basket. Sorry for the extra commentary. :o)

Hopefully, everyone had a Happy Easter!
