Project 365: Day 181- 190

Day 181: June 30- Franklin sleeps in the same spot every night. It cracks me up with such a small dog on a giant pillow.

Day 182: July 1- We spent a lot of the evening playing outside in the club house, swinging and sliding.

Tate and Michael went to visit a friend earlier in the day that gave Tate a turkey decoy. Michael put it on his head as a joke and now Tate thinks it is a hat!

Day 183: July 2- I let Tate take the picture of the day.

Day 184: July 3- He learned how to ride the scooter at my parents' house all by himself!

Day 185: July 4- I took this from my phone and it turned out blurry. He found my niece, Lily's goggles and tried them on. It rained almost all day, so we weren't able to do any fun outdoor activities. The fireworks show was even postponed for a week.

Day 186: July 5- We were supposed to start swim lessons, but they were cancelled due to the weather. Tate was devestated, so we had to substitute with a bath. Not quite the same, but we still tried to make it fun.

Day 187: July 6- From the estimates I have seen, we had anywhere from 6-10" of rain in a little over 48 hours. Michael went out to check the garden and found our zucchini plant didn't fair too well. Everything else, weeds included, was thriving after all that rain!

Day 188: July 7- I had thawed out some chicken for dinner, but had not other plans for dinner. Good time to get creative with what's in the cabinets and refrigerator. The chicken is seasoned with poultry seasoning. I tossed some rosemary, onion, and squash in the pan with a little EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and water. My brother gave us some purple potatoes from his garden. I started the chicken on the stove while I got the other ingredients together. I covered it and stuck it in the oven to finish cooking everything. It turned out pretty good.

Day 189: July 8- I love these purple potatoes! I had so much fun mashing them. The water even turned blue as they were boiling. Next year, we are adding them to our garden! :o)

Day 190: July 9- My mom brought me a cake and Tate a cupcake for my birthday. Tate got some stuck on his nose and it looked like a little yellow mustache!
