Tate's 2nd birthday

Lucky guy actually had two parties! The day before his actual birthday (day 229), we had dinner with my family. He got to open presents from Mimi and Papa too. The kids got to make their own mini pizzas for dinner. We had red velvet cake, but no cream cheese frosting for Tate.

He saw Woody on his cake.

Right before he blew out the candles, his cousin Drew beat him to it! He said he just couldn't help it. :o)

The funniest part was my sister had just reminded my niece Lily not to help Tate.

Day 230: August 18- Happy Birthday! I wanted him to wear his birthday shirt, but he insisted he had to wear his new Woody shirt from Mimi and Papa.

He wore the birthday shirt to bed.

Day 233: August 21- We had his cousins and my best friend's kids over for some fun in the sun. My sister-in-law and nephews brought their giant inflatable water slide and smaller bounce house for the kids to play in. Michael filled a bunch of water balloons and we got some cheap squirt guns on clearance. We also set up the sprinkler, the kiddie pool and the mister for the adults!

The watermelon we picked up from the Farmer's Market was a big hit!

The cake wasn't fancy, but it was completely dairy- free and actually tasted good! Tate really wanted Woody and Bullseye, not Buzz, but we couldn't find a Bullseye figurine.

He sang "happy, happy!" before he blew out the candles.

The kids all had a great time- a few even had tears when it was time to leave!
