* The Sugar Peas system we have is almost six years old and this will be the fourth baby in our family to wear them! Judging from their website, they have changed things a little.
I am thinking we will try to use the g refills as much as possible in the hospital. Since we are looking at a mandatory three-day stay after my c-section, hopefully this way we won't have to worry about as much laundry. After doing cloth diaper laundry with two toddlers for a week, the thought of a toddler and a newborn scares me a little! (Unless, by some miracle, Tate is mostly potty trained... right now, that's a joke- hahahaha!) Currently we are washing every other day, which means someone is probably going to have to do some of the diapers while I am still in the hospital. That really scares me! **Note to self: add make an instruction manual for cloth diaper laundry routine to the "TO DO" list.
Since I shared a picture of part of our stash, I might as well finish sharing. I'll include just the one size in this post. Then you will know just how BAD my addiction really is what we have to work with for diapering two.

I started this post several weeks ago. Since then, I've had to take 3 diapers out of rotation due to PUL issues. There are several more that are borderline, but will probably have to be taken out soon. If I do have to take them out, it is going to make me panic! We are talking about close to 10 more diapers. It just started happening all the sudden to diapers new and old. We've had trouble with multiple wet bags (last picture), but never diapers.
One company replaced all of their products under warranty when I contacted them. They were all giveaway wins, so I was very surprised and impressed that the company honored the warranty. Another company is also sending me a replacement under warranty. Unfortunately, a majority of them aren't covered any more. I have one that might qualify, but the return policy looks like a giant headache. We also haven't used any of the detergents from their very small "approved" list. The other two companies made it very easy.

You are brave to CD in the hospital! I'm taking the sposie route ;-)
ReplyDeleteWell, how big was Tate when he was born? If he was 8 lbs are larger I'd say that most of your diapers will work fine. If he was under some of those might be kind of big.
I don't have many diapers that are meant for under 8 lbs so I may need to consider adding a few more smaller diapers into my stash. My beloved Haute Pockets are splitting apart (not separating bc these are the old style where the PUL is kind of stretchy). We had major leaks a couple weeks ago and I had to throw away 4 when I realized the splits made it to the middle of the diaper. I have 6 left and they won't be making it much longer! I also have a couple with separating PUL. These are review diapers from my event in January and they started separating pretty quick. I should have contacted them for a replacement, but I didn't.
When the time comes, you'll have to let us know which ones fit your baby the best at what weight.
