Easter

Saturday afternoon, we dyed Easter eggs. Poor Tate came home from Wichita with a temperature over 103. He was so excited to dye eggs and then when we did, he didn't feel well. He even laid down in the chair at one point.
Most of the eggs we colored were farm eggs. They were blue and brown and it made for some interesting colors. On Friday, he and Mimi had dyed some eggs. We practiced finding them. He had as much fun hiding them as he did looking for them! The Easter Bunny ended up hiding 27 eggs.
We had a rough night. The Easter Bunny had set out the Easter baskets and hidden the eggs in the living room. I was sure Tate was going to notice, but he never did. He was ready to get up for the day around 4:30. I managed to keep him in our bedroom until about 6. I was hoping to wait because Michael didn't get off work until 7, but no luck.
He was so excited to see all the eggs, he was literally spinning in a circle shouting, "There's egg! There's egg! Another egg!"  I couldn't even get him to hold still long enough to get a good picture.
The baskets were on the kitchen table. I was so surprised Tate showed Mayer what was in his basket before he even really looked at his own. It was so sweet! Then he noticed his space shuttle and he was done helping with Mayer's basket.
My camera wasn't cooperating, but even through the blur, you can see the excitement on his face.

Mayer loves his Baby Einstein lion.
We took Tate to the doctor on Monday and he just had a random, high fever for three days. The only other symptom that he had was gas. Needless to say, it was a stressful Easter day for me because of course, I feared it was an appendicitis. At one time he told me his side hurt. He never said it again. Thank goodness!
