Mayer: 6 month update

We made it to the half way point of the first year!
I can't believe how much he has changed this month! Mayer is getting so strong. I think he is going to skip crawling and go straight to running! He tries to pull up on everything. He has 2 teeth; one on top and one on bottom. Let me just say, ouch! Hyland's hasn't replaced their teething tabs since the recall. We have been using Humphrey's, which is a little more inconvenient because the tabs/ pellets have to be pre-dissolved in water. He also wears an amber necklace, but I don't know how much it has helped.
He is still exclusively breastfed. We tried cereal just once, but he doesn't go long enough between feedings for me to pump so we have something to mix it with. I had some frozen, but I wasted it on the car trip to Colorado thinking he would be happy with a bottle. We do have some formula from the hospital that we may try to mix with the cereal instead of breast milk.

He looks like he is trying to run in his sleep!
(Yes, he's a tummy sleeper.)
I was trying to get him to scoot or crawl to a toy and he gave me this look like, "Seriously? Just give it to me!"
Mayer made his first trip to the family cabin in Colorado.
Mayer decided the stream was too cold to play in.
 Steam engine in Lamar, CO
Time to take the bassinet part out of the pack 'n play!
Poor teething baby finally crashed on my lap!
Playing at the water park with Uncle Swan; the water was too cold there too.
Ah, the temperature is just right! At his 6 month photo shoot. He LOVED the water and mud so much I'm not sure he ever looked at the photographer! I will be sure to share if she got some good shots.

  1. I love the running in his sleep picture :-) The only time I pump is first thing in the morning. Cole eats on one side and I pump the other at the same time :-) I'm building up a stash but I don't really need it! Some nights I'm trying to get him to take a bottle before he goes to bed so I don't get too much in the freezer and waste storage bags.
