Project 366: Days 16-20

 Day 16: Toaster thief
Tate figured out if you pull hard enough on the doors, the child lock comes unlocked. Mayer has watched Tate do it enough, he figured it out and it has become useless to try and keep them out. So every morning, Mayer has started pulling things out of the pantry. After hearing an odd crash, I caught him unloading the toaster.

December 17: Streakers
It has become a nightly ritual to play basketball in the living room, especially after bath time. The towels don't stay on long and it becomes naked basketball.
December 18: Safety furniture
Michael is a police officer and an avid hunter. I know it is important to have something to keep guns, ammo, etc locked away from curious little boys, it just wasn't supposed to go in our bedroom. You can't tell by the picture, but it is GINORMOUS... 710 lbs and over 5 ft tall! I think I have figured out a way to hide it... that is if we ever get around to a bedroom remodel.
 Day 19: Handy Manny
My brother was letting Mayer-Manny "help" hang a shelf in the office. This is after he removed the battery and I removed the drill bit. It was quite a heavy load for such a little guy, but he insisted on carrying it around all by himself.
Day 20: Stitches
Our first encounter with stitches. Mayer was playing with the velcro on his shoes and took them off. He was walking around my office, on the linoleum in his stocking feet and took a dive into a chair leg. It wasn't very bad, but since it was on his head, of course it bled like crazy! They gave him 2 stitches because it was too close to his eye to glue.
The worse part (at least for mommy) was when they numbed him, which is also what caused the swelling in the picture. They wrapped him in a blanket so he couldn't fight them. It took the nurse, Michael and me to hold him still too. His eyes were pleading the whole time and when it was over, he gave the doctor a dirty look. I think I did too because he had no personality. He was so drab!

  1. You could always drape a cloth over it and call it your new nightstand :-)

Mayer seems to do SO much for his age! Those drills are heavy too!I thought Cole was going to be an early walker but he's not progressing much in that area. I guess we'll see.
