Day 98: Bunker Hill Easter Egg hunt
It isn't quite the same as when we were kids, but still a fun tradition in my family.
My niece, Julianna, waiting for the "OK" to go outside and gather eggs.
I don't usually think of Kansas as flat, but based in this picture I can see how some people might think that. ;)
Muscle Men getting ready to paint some birdhouses.
We used Kool-Aid and water to dye eggs. Mayer was hilarious. He would lick the spoon and make a horrible face, then go back for more!
Julianna turned her hand Oompa Loompa orange.
I have no idea what Tate was doing here!
Going to gather MORE eggs from the chicken coop. My grandparents had enough eggs for 4 of the 5 great grandchildren to color 2 dozen eggs each, plus a half dozen for Mayer. That isn't including the scrambled eggs we had for breakfast or the eggs in the egg and tuna salads we had for lunch and there were still some left in the refrigerator!
It's more fun to tromp the flowers than smell them!
Day 99: Almost Speechless
"The Easter Bunny brought me a Lego Space Shuttle!?!" After that, he could barely get any words out that made sense. He was even excited that the Easter Bunny brought Mayer a bicycle helmet and sand toys.
Mayer just had to wear his bicycle helmet to hunt eggs.
Mayer and my dad, Papa
We love visiting Mamaw and Papaw on the farm!

looks like you guys had a great time! how did the eggs turn out using the koolaid? I was totally disgusted how the paas colors turned out this time! usually there is a couple colors that are speckled (and I got the regular not the speckled colors) but many of them were. I read about using wilton cake gel colors but I had already bought the paas kit. next year we're going to trying using the gels because I always have tons of those colors on hand anyway.
