#freefromtrash Coffee Can

Day #6 is supposed to be a coffee cup, but we make coffee at home every morning and we use travel mugs to take with us to work. It is very rare, especially in the summer, for us to get coffee to go. Instead, I thought I would show you how we use our old coffee cans. They almost never make it in the recycle because they are so useful!
There are two in the laundry room:
One for dryer lint that goes in the compost pile
and one for homemade cloth diaper soap.
One in the kitchen for scraps that go out to the compost
one in the garden to help a sad little tomato plant
multiple cans for storage in the garage
these are filled with miscellaneous nails and screws
We even have extras.
My dad and brother use them for miscellaneous things at work (custom sheet metal fabrication and HVAC shop) too. I found three on this workbench. They are full of various things.
There are two under the metal shear.
I have similar recycled containers for the boys' crayons and markers.
