"'Noball!"
Wednesday about 7:45 PM
The back porch about 11:45 am.
The back porch about 3:30 PM and it's still snowing.
The snow was so deep we could have lost Mayer!
Tate decided to jump off the porch into a drift. Then the wind started to blow snow in his face and snow was getting in his boot and it just wasn't quite as funny as he expected. Although it doesn't look like it, he is smiling here. :)
Michael got his department car stuck at the edge of the driveway. He had as much fun "working" in the snow, as we did playing. He cleared off our driveway and two of our neighbors' driveways with the 4-wheeler... until he ran out of places to pile the snow.
I think by Saturday morning, we had 14-15+ inches of snow. Luckily, the temperatures were in the 40s over the weekend, so we had time to melt a little before the next round hit. We took advantage of the warmer weather and went sledding.
We were originally predicted to get 18-20 more inches with the second round. Thankfully, some of that turned out to be rain. We did have blizzard conditions because of the high winds, but I think we only got about 6-7 inches. The weather was above freezing most of the day Monday, so a lot melted before it accumulated. This morning, we woke up to some fresh snowfall too, but less than 1/2 inch. Overall, there is nothing to complain about because despite all the snow and rain, we are still in a drought. All of this moisture may have been an inconvenience, but it was desperately needed!
