Alphabet Game

When you travel with a baby, you seem to pack everything but the kitchen sink. This is especially true when you cloth diaper. It really isn't a huge hassle, or at least it hasn't been so far. We went to Colorado over Labor Day weekend and stayed through Wednesday. No question that we would only travel with cloth! (More on that later.)

As I was packing all I could think of was the game we use to play in the car: "I went on a trip and in my bag I packed..." as we went through the alphabet listing things. So I wondered if I could come up with an alphabetized list that I was really going to pack related to cloth diapering (I know Mamaw, it's a sick addiction, but I'm not alone!).

I went on a trip and in my bag I packed:

A- Angel Baby Bottom Balm
B-Bamboo Bums, Bummis, bumGenius and Burt's Bees
C- Cloth
D- Diapers
E- Earth Mama Angel Baby
F- Flushable liners and fitteds
G- GroBaby and g diapers (I am experimenting with the g covers.)
H- Homemade tshirt g cloth inserts and diapers
I- Imse Vimse covers and wet bags
J- Jar of cornstarch
K- Knickernappies or Kissaluvs or Kiwi Pies (That is if I had any of them...)
L- LolliDoo
M- Mother-Ez and microfiber inserts
N-Nappies
O-One-size diapers
P-Prefolds
Q-Quarters (for CD laundry)
R- Rock'N Green Soap
S-Swaddlebee's Bamboo flats and Smartipants
T- Tate, of course (what good are diapers without the baby?!)
U- Ugly homemade cover (received as a gift and use it for emergencies only. Thank goodness we didn't need it!)
V-Velour wipes
W-Wet bags
X- eXtra washcloth wipes
Y- Yummy smelling soap (Cherry Lemonade is growing on me.)
Z- Zinnia bumGenius'
I suppose some of letters are stretching it a little bit, but I think they all work. I plan on writing about our experience using cloth diapers on vacation.
