Project 365: Day 77-81

Day 77: March 18- I am revamping our bumGenius stash. I spent the afternoon with the seam ripper. These 9 are getting new aplix and laundry tabs. I only had red thread or I would've started sewing the new tabs on. There are 13 more being converted to snaps and 4 of those are also getting new elastic. It's a little sad admitting that I can have 9 diapers out of commission and still be okay.
Day 78: March 19- I went to the bathroom to rinse a dirty diaper, when I came back, I saw this:
I was more than a little perplexed. What was it? Tate's cup was still in the diaper bag, my coffee cup was at the back of my desk and the orange he was playing ball with earlier was still intact. As I am searching around the area, Tate is standing next to me, but I never really looked at him. When I did, I saw he was drenched too. The only thing it could have been was a cloth diaper leak. The diaper was damp, but not really wet, which means he had to have been bent over and must have leaked out the top. My poor heavy wetter was even wet inside his slippers!
Day 79: March 20- It was a sad day at the Johnson/ Collins household. The only pictures I took were for the up-coming my Cloth Diapers Carnival post. My beloved Jayhawks lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament. It was totally unexpected and I still haven't gotten over the shock/ disappointment. People are telling me that at least I still have a Kansas team to cheer for since K-State is now in the Sweet Sixteen. Ummm, no thanks. After all of the nasty comments and rude behavior I have seen from K-State fans, I will not be cheering for them. They have also been very poor sports- win or lose- during the course of the year when things don't go their way. I know the same can be said for other teams and probably KU too. I guess them being our in-state rival makes it too hard.
Day 80: March 21- Go away snow!! Who needs an outdoor sled when daddy will pull you around in the laundry basket?!

Day 81: March 22- It isn't a very good picture because it came from my phone and he was so excited he was shaking. I love when he makes this expression! He was talking about "WoodyBuzz" or as he sometimes calls them "BoodyWuzz!" They are usually pronounced as one entity. Speaking of Woody and Buzz, the Easter Bunny has a BIG surprise for him. We are definitely going to have to have the video cameras rolling to share with everyone that can't be with us.

  1. wow, now that is a diaper leak!

I have not had to replace aplix yet, but I cringe at the thought of it. I'm sure it's nothing major, but still...
