We have a bunch of 3-ring binders at work. Companies used to send their catalogs or manuals in them. Most of the catalogs are outdated, so we recycle them and save the binder. When the boys needed something to keep their busy book pages in I swiped two, but they needed some dusting off and sprucing up.
I used Mod Podge and newspaper to cover the company information. I wasn't concerned with covering the entire outside. I liked the colors of the binders, but not the logos. I tried to use mostly random black and white print- pictures, the garage sale map, comics, and puzzles- because I know the boys won't be able to resist adding their own artwork to it.
Mimi was more creative than I was, She made a pirate hat and swords for the boys out of newspaper. :)
