#freefromtrash Toilet Paper Rolls

Day 10: Toilet Paper Roll
I was able to salvage four toilet paper rolls from the recycle. I thought of making each boy a pair of binoculars, but that seemed too obvious. I knew whatever I did, I was going to have to make two. I only made one rocket launcher and the boys fought over it. I started thinking I wanted something space themed (shocking, I know). Since we love the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, I decided to go with a familiar rocket. We see the Gemini X/ Titan II and a Mercury-Redstone rockets almost every day.

The rockets turned out slightly different, but no two rockets were exactly the same.
One interesting fact about the Gemini X mission, the pilot was... Michael Collins! Tate loves missions with Michael Collins, not only because he was the pilot for Tate's favorite mission, Apollo 11, but because Daddy's name is also Michael Collins. :)
The boys had made lunar rovers at the library's craft time! I love the noodle wheels.
