Replacing Coat Pockets

My Papaw has a farm coat that is his favorite. Though the year he received the coat is disputed, it is older than I am. Over the years, my Mamaw tried her best to fix the pockets multiple times by hand-stitching them. Now they had become so threadbare there wasn't much hope of fixing them, so she asked me if I could replace them.

This was the first time sewing inset pockets. It was fairly easy since I was just replacing the existing pockets. I used some scraps from my flannel shirt refashions to make new pockets for him. I also patched a few small rips and replaced a button. I hope it lasts him many more years!
